I love the confetti throw. It's a unique and lovely moment just after you've tied the knot and the photos are always filled with joy, movement and love.
Getting the perfect confetti shot requires planning and a bit of coordination, but the results can be magical and full of joy.

Here are some tips for capturing the best confetti shot:
1. Choose the Right Location:
This is something your photographer will be able to guide you with. It will also depend on the weather, sun direction, party size and available location options. Choose an outdoor setting or a spacious indoor area with good lighting.
If a confetti line isn't an option, then a group shot can work too.
2. Select the Right Confetti for your wedding:
Colour: Pick confetti colours to suit your wedding style and the environment. Colourful and white confetti are popular choices. Colourful confetti is fun and bright and white is elegant and effective.
Material: Paper confetti discs floats longer in the air, allowing more time to capture the shot. Metallic confetti adds sparkle, while biodegradable confetti is eco-friendly for outdoor settings. Check out the use of https://properconfetti.com/ in the shot below.

3. Confetti Timing:
Choosing when you do the confetti depends on the location, where you are allowed to throw it and the weather. We delayed the confetti throw for after dinner in the wedding pictured above due to rain. It worked really well to get everyone out of the dinner area that needed to be cleared for the party, and it had stopped raining at this point.
options:
down the aisle when exiting
You exit the ceremony and 'hide' whilst I get the guests into position for you to walk through.
Entering drinks reception
4. To get the best confetti photos:
Ask guests to keep their phones in their pockets.
Don't look at the camera - look up at each other, at guests.
Stop for a kiss
Walk slowly - confetti lines are usually short and I'll be walking backwards.
I will remind guests to throw the confetti up and high rather than right at your face :)

5. How much confetti do we need for our wedding?:
LOTS and then some more
A bit extra for a extra throw at the end of the confetti line just for fun.
I think it is better to have the confetti in a big basket or box rather than cones or packets (saves you a job too). This just means everyone can grab big hand fulls as I find cones aren't dropped on the floor or people struggle to hold their cone, phone, bag and drink.
If you're not allowed confetti then bubbles or a people tunnel are a great option.
