There’s something truly magical about sunflower season and sunflower photo shoots in Hampshire. That burst of golden yellow, the way they stretch tall and proud towards the sun – it’s impossible not to smile when you’re surrounded by them. That’s exactly why I love hosting sunflower shoots each year. They’re a little slice of summer joy, captured forever.
This year, I’m so excited to be shooting at a few stunning locations: Sam’s Sunflowers in Hayling Island, and Silkstead Farm and Hampshire Pantry near Winchester. All are absolutely dreamy in their own way, offering golden light, wild countryside charm and backdrops made for photos.
🌻 Sam’s Sunflowers – Sunflowers & Wildflowers by the Sea
Sam’s sunflowers, Hayling Island, Hampshire, is a gorgeous, family-run spot nestled on the South Coast perfect for a sunflower photo shoots. The sunflowers here grow tall and wild, with winding pathways running through the fields. And the best part, it’s not just sunflowers – there are rows of colourful wildflowers too, perfect for creating a variety of natural, vibrant backdrops for photos.
Children love darting through the flower paths, and the sea breeze gives everything that laid-back summer feeling. It’s the perfect spot for relaxed, joyful photos filled with colour and connection.
It was £7.50 per adult and small kids were free (2025 prices).
🌼 Silkstead Farm – Hampshire Countryside Charm
Silkstead Farm is a hidden gem just outside Winchester, with wide-open sunflower fields that glow in the evening light. It’s peaceful, rustic and just outside Winchester. You’ll find lush green Hampshire fields, beautiful views, and row upon row of towering sunflowers, perfect for a sunflower photo shoots .
Silkstead has this incredible calm about it – the kind of place where families can just be. No pressure, no posing – just enjoying the moment together while I capture the natural smiles and snuggles.
It was between £5-£7 to enter and they had a family of 4 price for £20 (2025 prices).
🌼 Hampshire Pantry – near Winchester
Hampshire Pantry is a working farm with a fabulous farm shop, coffee shop and gelateria.
When I visited they also had a cocktail and pizza van on the go and appear to have theme nights.
Their ethos is good food, sustainably produces and local.
It was free to enter and just £1 per stem (2025)

I didn't get around to visiting this one this year but a friend did and said it was wonderful. it was only open for a short time, the warm weather this year has made it tricky for all the farmers.
What to expect from a Sunflower photo shoot with me.......
My mini sunflower sessions are short and sweet (around 25 minutes), designed to give you a beautiful gallery of images without overwhelming the little ones. Whether you're after updated family portraits, some playful shots of the kids, or a romantic golden-hour couple session – this is for you.
You’ll receive a prep guide ahead of time with what to wear, directions, and tips to get the most from your shoot. All you need to do is turn up and enjoy the sunshine.
